SPOTLIGHT ON THE BAY

SPOTLIGHT ON THE BAY

Marion Bay is a gorgeous, small seaside country town, on the beautiful Yorke Peninsula, and has two impressive beaches, both a short walk from the glamping site...

< WILLYAMA BEACH

This beach is just across the road! Follow the track
to the beach and then over the sand dunes and be amazed by this gorgeous bay. Can up spot the
mast from the wreck of the S.S. Willyama? Pretty cool hey!

This beach has it all, the perfect length for a long walk, or why not go for a dip in the rock pools to your left!

< PENGUIN POINT

Follow Willyama to the left and you’ll find this vast bay. It’s a much calmer, shallower beach and great for paddle boarding if you brought them with you. Keep following to the left, and you’ll find the Marion Bay jetty.

Want to catch some squid? This is the perfect spot at night.

< INNES NATIONAL PARK

Marion Bay is on the door step of Innes National Park. The Park is a beautiful natural sanctuary full of Australia's best beaches, and is ideal for swimming, surfing, fishing, bush walks and observing the wildlife - we can nearly guarantee that you'll see a kangaroo on your visit.

Innes National Park – right at your door step is the beautiful, untouched Innes National Park. Just a 5 minute drive away, you have access to Australia’s best beaches (oh no, we’re not being bias, just wait until you see them)

  • Swimming – you may have a beach all to yourself!

< OTHER LOCAL TIPS

Hungry? Feel like a beverage since you’re on holidays?

Beach Break:

This great addition to the town is the place to be. Why not treat-yo-self to some coffee and cake! Beach Break serves coffee, breakfast and lunch, and sell surf hardware & home-made pies.. and we have partnered with them to offer you delicious picnic hampers!

Marion Bay Tavern:

The ‘Tin Tav’ as I used to call it when growing up in Marion Bay, has amazing wood fire pizzas and pub grub, and is open for lunch and dinner. Or just fancy a beverage and a game of pool to finish off the perfect day? The tav also has a Bottle O, for takeaway drinks.

Marion Bay General Store:

Feel like a burger and hot chips, or just running out of petrol? Why not try some of Minlaton Bakery’s delicious pasties and sausage rolls. This is the place to go. The ‘shop’ as we locals call it, has a small variety of supplies including fresh bread delivered daily, and they also sell fishing supplies.

Inland Sea Restaurant:

If you're a seafood lover, book a table at Inland Sea, to try some locally caught, quality seafood in Warooka, that's just a half an hour's drive from the site.

Mad fisher person?:

If you’re looking to book a fishing charter, call Mark Graham on 0427 120 040, from Marion Bay Fishing Charters, or email him
